Munyaradzi Chinongoza asked:

Would you like to learn magic tricks online? I can think of more than a dozen people right now, just from the top of my head, who would jump at the opportunity to learn magic tricks, if it was presented to them.

There’s no doubt in my mind that almost everyone wants to learn how to do those famous card tricks or make pennies disappear and reappear behind an ear, just to entertain your friends and family. It makes you the center of attraction at a party or gathering, and don’t we all just love attention, I know I definitely do.

There is so many different types of magic tricks you could learn, from simple tricks with cards, coins and string to tricks with beer cans, water glasses and even match boxes. The type of tricks you can perform usually depend on the level your are at as far as, the tricks you have learnt.

Although, when you see magic being performed it looks like things are disappearing and reappearing in weird places or some things seem to be moving without anything touching them, its all elusion. Ever heard the hand is quicker than the eye, that is basically what magic is, the hand doing things fast enough so that the eye does not pick up what exactly happens.

Sometimes, a magician will have special props created for their tricks to make them more entertaining, but even in these cases the magic trick will only be as effective as how well it has been performed. You will need to learn magic tricks, but not only stop there. You are also going to have to practice your magic tricks, so that you can even perform them in your sleep.

If you get tired of the card, coin and string tricks, these are little tricks you can always move on to street magic like the famous David Blaine has been seen performing on TVs worldwide. You can learn magic tricks for fun or start performing for big money, whatever your intentions, magic will always be super fun and there are many resources for you to do it online
from the comfort of your own home.

L. G. Wills asked:

The magic gopher is a magic trick that can be done with symbols or cards and will amaze all of your friends once you perfect it. This trick is actually quite simple but it takes a little bit of work to put the magic gopher props together. You will need three decks of cards or several index cards to draw symbols on. You will need some card stock paper and a computer and printer, or you can draw the magic gopher charts if you are talented and like to do that sort of thing.

Your magic gopher symbols can be anything you want them to be, but you should have about five or six different symbols in mind. Draw these symbols on your index cards. Alternatively you can simply use playing cards. Your magic gopher charts will have the numbers 0 through 99 each next to one of your chosen symbols. You will want five or six charts to go with your five or six symbols. This is easiest if done on a computer, but you can certainly hand draw magic gopher the charts. Either way they should be on card stock paper just for durability.

Now, ask your friend to choose a two digit number, or any number between 10 and 99. Now they will take those two digits and add them together. For example, if your friend chose 12, he would add 1 and 2 for a total of 3. Next tell him to take the new number and subtract it from the original number, so 12 minus 3 equals 9. Now, show him one of your charts and tell him to look at and memorize the symbol next to his new number, in the case of the example he would look at the symbol next to the number 9. Tell him to memorize that symbol and then remove the chart. You, the magic gopher, will then magically read your friend’s mind and tell him what the symbol was on the chart that he looked at by showing him the coordinating card. Give this trick a try for yourself to see how it works. Do a search on the internet for magic gopher and you should find the magic gopher magic trick to try.

Do you want to know how the magic gopher trick works? It is really simple. No matter what two digit combination your friend chooses, the final result will be either 0 or a multiple of 9. So all of those number need have the same symbol next to them. It doesn’t matter which symbol it is, as long as those numbers have it. You will also want to mix that symbol throughout your chart on other numbers, too, and the remaining symbols can be mixed up amongst the remaining numbers. Make as many magic gopher charts as you have symbols.

You can either mark the cards or stack them in an order in which you know what card goes with which chart and you will always be able to be the magic gopher and guess which symbol is next to the number your friends come up with!

Jron C. Magcale asked:

Well, giving you the first trick, it is actually very easy to perform. Water to Ice, well what you will do is pour water into a cup and then dump out a couple of ice cubes and no water. People will wonder how the water turned into ice. This can be really surprising for some who don’t know the trick, for this trick you need a cup that isn’t see-through, maybe a solid color cup will do. When no one is looking, you will stuff a sponge in the bottom of the cup. Then put a couple ice cubes on top of the sponge inside the cup. While everyone is watching, pour water into the cup. The sponge will absorb the water so when you turn the cup over all that will pour out will be the ice cubes. That can definitely a treat and the magic kits are so simple as well.

How about the famous disappearing coin trick? Well it is another easy magic trick that uses a simple magic kit. Well, basically for this trick you will sit at a table and place a coin in front of everyone. Then you will take one of your hands and place it over the coin. With three fingers, you will drag the coin across the table making sure you keep your hand and arm parallel to the table. Drag the coin to the edge of the table and let it drop into your lap. As you pick your hand up, rub your fingers together and look surprised like the coin is vanishing. Then turn your hand to the on-lookers and show them your hand is empty. Another well played magic trick that has people guessing again the only magic kit you used was a coin.

Those 2 easy magic tricks can get you started on learning more. People might look at it as a very simple trick but it can still surprise a lot of people and you’ll be surprised as well as on how the simple tricks uses simple props or magic kits. Essentially, more and more people will be amazed if you can continually do tricks in a manner and make everyone seems pleased on how the tricks are being made. Well, having simple magic tricks using simple magic kits can really be enjoyable and practical as well.

Jron Magcale

http://www.magichutonline.com

Lesa Bolt asked:

Here is a cute and fun magic trick your children will love and they get to eat before they are finished with the trick.

Take a fruit roll up and cut out a small section. A three-inch square works well. Now place a dime on the middle of the fruit roll up. Fold over the bottom edge on top of the dime. It will not touch the other edge. Turn over this piece and fold the side edges inward toward each other. You should now have three folded edges. The last folds were on both sides and the ends went over each other. Holding the first fold in your right hand between your thumb and pointer finger squeeze the roll up slightly from the folded end as you turn the fruit square over again. Move the folded end upward as you flip it over. When you do the dime will have been pushed outside of the first fold by your squeezing. As you flip the fruit, let the coin drop into your left hand without your audience seeing your trick.

Conceal the dime, which is now in your palm, from view and proceed to fold over the open end of the fruit roll up so that it looks like all edges have been folded. It does not matter which way you fold the last portion because the dime is now gone. All that actually remains now is the fruit roll up in about a one-inch square mass of folds.

Are you hungry? This is the fun part. Put the fruit piece into your mouth and chew it up. Do not get far away from your audience. Let your friends see your mouth as you chew. Open your mouth so they can see there is no dime inside. When you are done chewing swallow the fruit and let your audience see your empty mouth.

While you are chewing the fruit you can put the dime into your pants pocket so no one will ever see it. They will think you have either dissolved the dime or eaten it. You will have them scratching their head about how you made the magic trick work. You can pull the coin from your pants without showing the audience and then put your hand behind the ear of a volunteer and magically pull out the coin which they thought was in the fruit you ate.

Will Henry asked:

I’ve always been fascinated by Chris Angel and David Blaine. I love the way they mystify us and use the powers of mind control to perform some pretty amazing magic. As a magician myself, I can usually tell how a magic trick is done. Mainly for the fact you can buy the same magic trick at your local magic store, and I’ve bought many of them.

Mentalism on the other hand uses principles of hypnosis and/or suggestion to present the illusion of mind reading or mind control. There usually are no props, or special apparatus involved (or so the audience thinks). Anyone in the audience that Chris or David uses could be thinking of anything, yet they always know what that person will do or think.

Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon a product that claimed I could perform many of the same amazing yet simple magic tricks that Chris Angel and David Blaine perform on television.

If you have ever seen these two magicians perform, you know it’s amazing. However, when a magician can fool another magician, that is a sign of a world class performer. These two performers have fooled me on many occasions. Because I always want to learn how the pros do it, I became intrigued enough to continue read the salesletter. Sure, in the back of my brain, I was telling myself that I was only reading it from a research perspective, and that I had no intention of actually purchasing the book. However, by the time I was halfway through the salesletter, I absolutely HAD to buy the ebook.

After reading the book, I’m was pleasantly surprised at all the easy magic tricks that were included! If I had this when I first started out, I never would have needed to buy all the magic books and props I spent my money on. If you ever have bought a magic trick you know how expensive they can be.

There were hundreds of magic and mentalism tricks included but one of the easy magic tricks that jumped out at me was “Sit and Stay”. In this one a volunteer is invited to sit on a chair on stage. As you talk to them, they feel heavier and heavier, to the degree that when you ask them to rise and stand they are unable to do so.

The authors writing style is easy to follow, and perfectly understandable. However, if you are a complete newbie, the book may be overwhelming as there is so much magic in here.
The Master Mentalism ebook itself is 289 pages of trick after trick. On top of that you also get a few bonuses. The one that impressed me the most was the Encyclopedia of Card Tricks. I haven’t had a chance yet to count how many tricks are in there but it is almost 500 pages.

In addition, you do get an ebook, which has some of the tricks David Blaine uses on his television specials as well as the secrets to some of David Copperfield’s biggest illusions.

Overall, Master Mentalism is an excellent ebook. You don’t have to wait for the magic to arrive in the mail. You are instantly able to download and start performing immediately. This ebook and the bonuses will appeal to beginners and intermediate mentalists and magicians. If you’re an advanced mentalist, you won’t find anything new here. Advanced magicians like myself will find many new tricks that can be added to your repertoire. The Encyclopedia of Card Tricks alone is worth more than the price of admission, so I’d have to give this ebook and bonuses my highest recommendation.

Eliza Maledevic asked:

In performing in front of the crowd, you need to have a lot of gimmicks to entertain them and worth the money that they have paid to watch the show. Versatility is one of the characters that you should have in performing, you need to have the ability to do lot of things and be prepared to what ever things that might happen along the way.

Performing magic is not enough to entertain your audience; it can be boring if you don’t know how to get your audience attention. You need to think of some things that an individual want to see in a performance. Try to put your feet on their shoes and think of the things that you want to expect in a magic show.

You may be thinking that a performer should be lively and not boring. They should have at least a good sense of humor to fill the place with so much fun and laughter. Performing magic is a great show but some other people are expecting more of these magic tricks. Others are expecting some slap stick performance or acrobatic scene during the show. If you can do all these things, well, you can be a total performer that everyone will surely love.

Of course it is not easy to learn different style in entertaining audience but you should have at least 2 basic skills in performing in a show. You need to be interactive and sensitive enough to know what the things that your audiences are expecting are.

Many magic performers are now wise enough to do different things aside from performing a magic trick. I have seen in a TV show that a clown can do different magic show, knowing that clown are usually do slap stick action to make us laugh. Aside from doing different pantomiming, other clowns are also practicing different magic tricks. Well, this can increase their market and enhanced different skills in entertaining people. Performing different acts in front of the people is really entertaining, of course if you are hide from those baggy suits with white face and a big smile, you audience will expect you to do some practical jokes and slap sticks performance. But watching clowns performing different magic trick is really cool and modern way of entertaining people.

Having a lot of skills in entertaining people will give you lot of options and increase your market and also increase professional fee. There are lots of clowns are now in to learning different magic tricks to show their versatility in performing for their audience.

Eliza Maledevic Ayson
Magic Tricks

This means that you can start with the simpler tricks as a beginner and improve when you already have enough experience on performing a magic trick.

As a performer, most of the gratitude that you feel after each performance would be the motivator for you to do better. The feeling of having an audience appreciate your tricks is also the drive that can make each performer enjoy what he is doing. Getting this kind of reaction after a magic trick would not be difficult since there are many people who are interested in magic and there are more who actually appreciate it more than any other kind of performance. Thus, as it is easy to perform the tricks and get the attention of the audience, you can add excitement on their part when you keep them engaged in your tricks through audience participation. This will add the feeling of excitement on the part of your audience but you have to be very careful on what you are doing so as not to reveal the tricks behind your magic.

If you are interested in different tricks, you can easily search the Internet for sample tricks. There are many sites that can provide you with the right kind of tricks and you can choose from those that are fairly easy to learn, those that are complicated and those that needs to use props.

These magic tricks in the Internet may not be useful only to those who want to perform the tricks in front of the public. You may also rely on search results in the net if you are simply a curious audience and you want to know the trick behind the performance of a magician in a certain occasion. You can learn how they are performed and you can be satisfied your curiosity. After doing the research and learning more about how they are performed, you can already share this knowledge to other people and make them aware of the truth or you can try performing the tricks to others and show off that you can also do the magic tricks yourself.

However, you should not be too excited to show that you know the tricks since you still have to practice in performing them so that your show would be as smooth as the performance of the professional magician. Also, the excitement of performing the magic tricks would be incomplete if your audience already knows the secret behind your tricks so you should be more careful.

Chris Robertson asked:

Magic tricks provide affordable, engaging activity for your kids and entertainment for the entire family. Kids are intrigued with the skill and mystery that tricks can offer. They enjoy trying to “figure it out.” And once they do know the secrets behind a few tricks, kids never tire of surprising friends and family members with their newfound hobby!

Magic tricks appeal to the inquisitive side of a child’s mind. Boys especially want to know what makes things work. They see mechanical devices and immediately want to take them apart. Some would rather take toys apart and put them back together than play with them!

There are also educational benefits for your “little Houdini” who desires to learn magic tricks. Buying books or CDs that reveal how to prepare and perform tricks can help your kids learn fun tricks and develop valuable manual as well as mental skills for future learning. They’ll need to memorize every aspect of the trick from start to finish, which enhances memory. They’ll learn to use swift hand motions and add new words to their vocabulary to use interesting conversation while performing in front of an audience. Magicians often talk their way through magic trick performances, so your kids will become accustomed to speaking in front of people. This skill alone can help with many aspects of life – giving verbal essays in front of class, participating in school or church plays, and public speaking at functions when older such as business meetings or conferences.

Finding the Right Magic Tricks

To get started, find out which magicians your kids enjoy the most or the types of tricks they prefer. Some magicians to consider include Derren Brown, David Copperfield, Paul Harris, and David Blaine. Magic tricks vary according to who performs them and the tools and methods used. Some use street magic while others have elaborate performances. Kids might like learning simple magic tricks or they might enjoy putting on entire shows for family gatherings.

Once you have an idea of what type of magic your child desires to learn, you can find plenty of books and magic products online. Search for magic resources using key phrases including the name of their favorite magician, such as “Criss Angel magic tricks” or “David Blaine magic tricks.” This will narrow your search to the magic tricks that will appeal to your child.

Take it slow and start with some easy, age appropriate tricks. Then work with your child if he/she chooses to learn more advanced maneuvers. Allow them to practice in front of your immediate family before performing in front of large groups. For very young children, be sure the tricks will be easy to accomplish for their small hands and little fingers. Compliment them on a job well done (even if they mess up occasionally). Make much of their achievements so they’ll be eager to learn more. It’s a great way to spend time together while engaging in an enjoyable activity!

Jamie Best asked:

Before you even start learning magic secrets, you need to develop a character or persona for you as a magician. Probably the best character is you as yourself. Don’t try to be like other magicians as what works for them might not work for you. People will be aware that you are trying to be someone else, and it doesn’t usually work. If you are enjoying yourself, chances are audience will enjoy it too. Make sure you are trying to get something over to your audience. It could be as simple as ‘things aren’t what they appear to be’. You need to have a reason for doing something. Just starting a magic trick with out a reason is fairly pointless. However don’t tell your audience what you’re about to do as they will start looking for the trick. If you tell them you are going to make a coin vanish by magic they’ll be looking to seeing how you do it.

Good magicians always have a great connection with their audience. They can make the audience laugh and feel included in what they are doing. Always practice your repartee, so you can say it without thinking. This way, if you are interrupted by comments from the audience for example, you will still be able to answer them and get back to what you are saying. Your repartee is another way of distracting your audience by telling them stories. It must be smooth and polished with no umms or aahhs.

With coin magic tricks, when you have faked putting the coin into the other hand, drop the hand that is still holding the coin down to your side and keep it there as naturally as possible. There are two main reasons for doing this. Because the hand is apparently empty it drops down naturally. The brain disconnects from it and forgets about it as it is not doing anything. You also want to take the audience’s focus away from that hand, and dropping it to your side does this perfectly. Move the the empty (or distracting) hand first to draw the eyes of the audience then drop your other hand. This needs to be done quickly, otherwise it will be obvious to your audience. Have a slight delay after you bring the empty hand up and before you open it so you can focus the audience’s attention on it. This delay need only be a second or so.

When doing your magic trick to make something vanish, you can blow it away, squeeze it out, throw it up into the air and let it disappear, drop it on the floor, rub it out or even shake it out. Adding a sound effect, such as a pop or a whoosh adds to your presentation. I’m sure you can think of other ways to make something vanish. Use your imagination. Remember, you must always watch the hand you are using to distract them with.

The key to performing magic tricks is to practice and practice. The smoother your trick is the easier it is for the audience to believe it. Before you know it, you will be ready to learn more magic secrets to show to your family and friends. Act as though it really is magic because if you believe it is magic, then the audience will as well.

Eliza Maledevic asked:

Magic tricks are enjoyed by many people. There are those who enjoy the things that they see and are amused by the way that they are tricked by their own eyes. Also, there are those who are actually intrigued by the way that you can perform the trick on your own and amaze other people by this talent. Even those who already know that there is an illusion playing on their eyes, this does not change the fact that many individuals enjoy these tricks.

This is the reason why there are many people who are interested in magic tricks. Many people want to know the truth and the tricks behind the magic that they see so that they can also perform for other people. Added to this, there are also those who simply want to know how the tricks were done. They do this to plainly supply their mind with knowledge when doubt and magic seems to elude it. Now that we know that there will always be a reason behind every trick, it would be easier to understand the magic and learn how it is done.

No matter what your personality is or what purpose you may have for having the Interest in knowing about, you will have to know that the magicians normally use a magic kit. This is a way of adding interest for the viewers and so that the tricks would not look plain. You may recognize that there are many magicians who use the kits and other props to improve their performance. This is their tool for the performance and if you are interested to learn how to do the tricks, then you should first learn how you can handle and manage the way that the kits are used.

If you already have the kit, and you now know how the magic tricks are done through the use of the kit, you can now be more comfortable with your performance. You have to select the trick that you know best and make sure that you are comfortable with it. The kits can help you with the kind of trick that you want to perform. However, you should still be careful not to reveal the trick behind your performance as this will ruin everything. You also have to be patient and practice the tricks so that you will fully understand it.

Now that you have the magic kits that can help you, everything else would be easier. There are more things that you can do with the use of these tricks and you can always enjoy it once you are fully equipped with the right kits and knowledge along with it. With this, each performance would be better and more enjoyable for you.
