Matt Razor asked:

Ever wonder what’s all that talk about green gas airsoft sniper rifles? Is there an advantage to using green gas airsoft guns? The answers you may get can be different depending on the person you are asking. I’ve heard that green gas rifles are great but it also depends where you play. Climate affects the gas in the canisters that you use and is known to don’t work so well in colder climate. There one airsoft sniper rifle that has been the talk on the field and its the KJW M700 Green Gas Powered Airsoft sniper rifle.

This gas powered rifle claims to shoot at 600-720 FPS! That’s is the fastest airsoft sniper rifle I’ve come across and the reviews of this rifle is saying it’s the truth. The KJW M700 is a gas blot action sniper rifle and the bolt action is very smooth. There’s no strained in pulling back the bolt because there’s no spring to give resistance. The magazine of the rifles holds upto 11 rounds and simple to insert, it also comes with a nice cushion rubber butt stock. The optiumn size of BB to use is the .225 grams because the .2 grams are too light. With a .225 gram BB I was able to constantly shoot at 600+ FPS. When purchasing the M700 you have a choice to combo it with a scope or a bipod. The total lenght of this rifle comes out to 46.5 inches and weighs a little over 7 pounds and the price isn’t to expensive.

In my honest opinion the M700 airsoft sniper rifle is a very powerful green gas sniper rifle and should be purchase if you are more comfortable as an all around sniper on your team. The accuracy on this gun for its range and projection is better then most airsoft guns on the market. This will be one of the most tactical rifle for any airsoft player and something you should look into.

Bill asked:

Airsoft is a very popular game and lots of people are getting interested in this game. It can be called a hobby or a sport. Airsoft is a game with replica firearms, and the participants eliminate each other by shooting non-metallic pellets from these replica firearms like guns and rifles. These replicas are made from plastic and only the external size and shape are like the real firearms. Airsoft games are becoming popular sport in US, UK and Europe.

The Airsoft guns, which are replicas of real guns, shoot small plastic balls at velicity ranging from 30 to 260 m/s. You should be above 18 years if you are interested in buying a Airsoft gun and these guns come with an orange tip, which should not be removed. People enjoy playing the game ‘Airsoft’ with these Airsoft guns, which are safe and harmless, but it should be handled properly and not be misused. These guns are also called BB guns or Pellet Guns.

An Airsoft Gun can be operated by gas, spring or electric motor. Depending on the quality and the type of Airsoft guns, there is variation in prices. Spring operated Airsoft guns are less in price compared to gas operated Airsoft guns.A Spring Airsoft Gun is readily available and less expensive. They are manually operated and therefore cannot be automatic and semi automatic. Before you fire a shot you have to reload by re-cocking the spring. You can use it anytime as these guns don’t depend on battery or gas.

Another type of Airsoft gun is the Electric Airsoft Gun. These guns are powered by an electric motor. A rechargeable battery is used to power this motor, which makes the gun shoot the pellets. Originally developed in Japan, these guns can shoot around 750 rounds per minute, fully automatically. They are widely used in competitions as they need not be recharged very often.

The third type of Airsoft gun is the Gas Airsoft Gun. Gases like HFC-134a or Green gas are used to operate these guns. When shooting, the slide moves back and forth, and there is a gas chamber where the gas is re-loaded after several shots. These guns can be fully automatic or semi-automatic.

Airsoft Pistols and Airsoft Rifles are used in Airsoft games and this game offers relaxation and lot of thrill away from your routine life and work. If you are interested in playing the game, you can get yourself an Airsoft Sniper Rifle, for distance firing, with accuracy. They are available in the price range you want and in different camouflage colors to suit the terrain.

Another interesting game is the racing game with radio control vehicles. Many people consider it as a hobby. Children nowadays prefer and demand for RC toys like RC cars and RC trucks. RC vehicles are vehicles that are operated and controlled by radio signals from hand-held transmitters. The RC helicopter comes in four types; electric, gas, nitro and petrol/gas. The RC airplanes are also very interesting. If you like water sports get a RC boat and during winter, you can get a RC hovercraft to race on the snow or ice. The RC buggie is also a very versatile vehicle.

How many shots can I get from a can of green gas? I met a guy a week ago who fell in love with the airsoft game. The guy used to love the action thing on the movies. As a new immigrant to the US, he met some of us who loved the airsoft game and loved it so much. He went straight to purchase his own airsoft guns and accessories, and have since joined us in our airsoft training and game sessions. Such guy! He was so keen with the game he wouldn’t stop asking questions.

I guess Rich is partly my inspirer for these posts. He wants to know more about airsoft, airsoft game, airsoft accessories, airsoft guns, airsoft rifles and pistols and all that. But you know what? I never get tired of answering his questions because I’m in love with the game myself. So if you are a lover of the airsoft game, or maybe you are just a military game lover on the wondering fence, just get on board and experience the pudding! It’s interesting, it’s intriguing, it’s exciting, and it’s also fun filled.

Rich was asking me about the number of rounds one can fire using an airsoft gun. “Well, Rich, it depends on what kind of gun you’re using and your rate of fire, as well as the temperature at that season” I answered. “But this is not the case with real guns” Rich protested. I simply explained that I didn’t know much about the real guns (you can help us out here, thanks). I just know that with an airsoft gun, if you pull the quite faster, the gas becomes colder, lowering the pressure. If you shoot from a very cold magazine, you will not get as much rounds as you will get using a warmer temperature magazine. On average, you can get approximately 2000 rounds with a can of gas.

Throughout the years, airsoft has become a very popular sport for young and old alike. This is a game that simulates military situations. Instead of using live guns, they use composite replicas of the weapons that military and police organizations use. These guns fire small, round, plastic balls instead of live ammunition. These pellets are fired with the use of compressed gas, an electric gearbox or a spring. Because these games are quite realistic, people get quite a thrill from re-enacting these missions. It gives a good dose of adrenaline rush that keeps people coming back for more.

The AEG, Gas Pistols and Airsoft Spring Guns

Presently, Automatic Electric Guns or AEG’s are commonly used during these games. This type of airsoft gun uses batteries to store electricity that is used to power a gear box. This gear box then causes the pellet to be expelled whenever the trigger is pulled. This feature also gives the user flexibility in choosing semi or full automatic mode of their guns. Gas pistols, which are powered by compressed gas, are usually used as side weapons during this game.

Airsoft spring guns, however, are not usually used in such games. This is because the airsoft spring gun uses energy stored in the spring whenever the user pulls on the cocking handle to enable the gun to be fired. With this energy, the 6mm plastic pellets can have a velocity of 400 feet per second and can reach a range of 30 meters. This means that the gun should be charged manually every time the gun is fired. Unlike the AEG, it cannot be set to semi-automatic or full automatic mode.

Three Types of Airsoft Spring Guns

There are three types of airsoft spring guns: airsoft spring guns, rifles, pistols and shotguns. Airsoft spring rifles include the M16 series, M14 series, the AK47 series and its variants and other sniper rifles modeled from weapons found all over the world. The pistols also come in varied models and countries of origin. These consist of automatics such as Colt .45, 9mm Berretta or a revolver such as the Colt Python. Shotguns are only available as airsoft spring guns.

A Cheap Gun For All Seasons

Although airsoft spring guns can be greatly overpowered by AEG’s and gas pistols, they can be used in all types of adverse weather such as rain, snow, extreme heat or cold. Gas pistols malfunction during cold weathers. Exposing an AEG to the elements can also damage it.

Another great thing about airsoft spring guns is the price. Because most of these spring guns cost under $50, it can easily be afforded by anyone. Aside from buying a constant supply of BB pellets, there are no extra expenses to consider when buying a spring gun. It doesn’t require canisters of compressed gas to function. Neither does it need battery replacements and upgrades.

As far as looks and feel are concerned it really takes a lot of exposure to spot the difference between the two. They are both made to scale like the real firearm and have the same metal and plastic components. So really there isn’t much difference between them.

When shopping around for a new airsoft sniper rifle or AEG (automatic electric gun), usually the price is the main thing that people worry about. Unfortunately this can sometimes get you into trouble in the long run though, as many of the websites that sell airsoft guns offer very poor customer service (for example, having to wait 1 or 2 weeks before your purchase even gets shipped out to you). Also, I have heard a good many horror stories of customers purchasing defective airsoft rifles and then never even receiving a replacement gun, among other things.

Another thing to look out for with many of the online airsoft stores/websites, is inaccurate product images. For some reason it seems abnormally hard to get quality product images for many of the Chinese made airsoft rifles (especially the airsoft sniper rifles), so it is fairly common for an airsoft retailer to just post a picture of an airsoft gun that is SIMILAR to the actual airsoft gun that they are selling. Usually this isn’t that big of a deal, since most of them are practically identical anyways, but it can certainly create some confusion in some cases, especially with the airsoft rifles that have actual trademark logos on them.

The other major thing to consider is where the online airsoft store is actually located. Most of them are located in California, due to the fact that they import their products from china, and California is where the products actually get dropped off (they come via large boat). As long as the store is located in the US it doesn’t really matter all that much; what you want to look out for is a store that is actually located in China, since it will literally take WEEKS to receive any order that you purchase from them (at least in most cases).

Now, as far as which websites I recommend, I have to say that there isn’t very many. As far as lowest prices (along with pretty good service) go, I would definitely say airsplat.com is the winner there, especially when it comes to the airsoft sniper rifles. If you are looking for great prices (but possibly a bit higher than airsplat) I would go withpyramydair.com.

I have done a LOT of business with pyramyair, and they have better (and faster) customer service than airsplat, and they have a better return policy too (pyramydair offers a 30 day return policy, while airsplat only offers a 3 day return policy). Last, but not least, there is airsoftgi.com. They offers pretty good prices, combined with good service and fast shipping times as well. I also know a lot of people that have dealt with them and they all ended up very happy customers. Personally I like pyramydair and airsplat the best though, and I have by FAR done the most business with those 2 websites.

There are plenty more online airsoft stores out there, but I would use a good deal of caution when dealing with them. Like I stated above, there are a LOT of sites out there that offers some pretty horrible service, especially when it comes to the shipping time frame. In fact, I think the long shipping times is probably one of the most common complaints that I read about on the airsoft forums. My best advice would be to just do a little research about a particular retailer before you go ahead and give them your hard earned money!

i have an airsoft rile (f2000) but i don’t know whether to keep the long nose flash hider on or just keep it short (remove the barrel). aesthetically the long nose barrel makes the gun look like pinnochio, so i’d remove it if it did not contribute to the performance in any way.
